How The Queen Found Out About Kate Middleton's Pregnancy Dec 5th 2012, 19:00 This hyperemesis gravidarum has really caused Kate Middleton problems! The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge had planned to keep their pregnancy a secret, according to People, but were forced to spill the beans when Kate had to be hospitalized. Apparently the couple hadn’t told anyone they were expecting. Prince William told the Queen, Prince Charles, and Prince Harry before Kate was admitted to the hospital on Monday, and friends only heard the news once the formal announcement went out. Sources claim this pregnancy was carefully planned. Apparently, Kate and William didn’t want to overshadow Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee, nor did they want to disrupt any planned royal tours. One person said: “I don’t think anything is left to chance. Kate is probably one of the most organized [royal] women we’ve ever known.” Kate’s baby is already causing quite a stir.
