Hot New Trailer: 'G.I. Joe: Retaliation' Dec 12th 2012, 19:00 This trailer gives us a VERY good idea about what ‘G.I. Joe: Retaliation‘ is about! It also looks like the movie was seriously revamped. Channing Tatum’s character reportedly was killed off in that initial strike that wiped out the G.I. Joe’s (remember, ‘G.I. Joe’ didn’t do as well as expected, and it was supposed to be Channing’s big break). Dwayne Johnson was the star of this movie. But Channing’s had such a great run with ‘Magic Mike,’ ‘The Vow,’ and ’21 Jump Street,’ that he was able to prove he’s a movie star. And test audiences didn’t like seeing him killed off. So ‘G.I. Joe: Retaliation’ was revamped. It looks like Channing’s character will be babysitting when the Joes are attacked. I have to say, I’m a fan of both Channing and Dwayne, so I won’t mind seeing this!
